"It is evident on a daily basis that Sukkai is passionate about working with students. She stepped in to fill a Special Education vacancy in an ASD Special Day Classroom. Students in that classroom have significant needs and she has been very successful in connecting with the students and staff. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport are even more essential in establishing positive relationships with disabled students and recognizing their individual strengths, interests, and challenges. Even though she is a substitute teacher, she is demonstrating commitment and involvement as if it is her own classroom.
